Farmers Markets in Northeast Florida
It’s that time of year when spring is in the air and people start to think about hitting some farmer’s markets in Northeast. Of course being in Florida, we are luck to have them year round. I guess since alot of us are transplants, we still get that itching around spring. Let’s see where we can go:
Farmer’s Markets are not just for produce either. The Town of Orange Park started a Farmer’s and Art’s Market back in September 2012. There are arts and crafts, lots of produce and the animal shelter brings available dogs to be adopted there. The market is open on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month from 11am to 4pm. Check their schedule for days they may be closed due to special events.
Every Saturday from 2pm-5pm, you can visit the Beaches Green Market at Jarboe Park Neptune Beach Florida.
Nocatee Farmers Market is located at 245 Nocatee Center Way Ponte Vedra, Fl. Every 3rd Saturday of the month. From 10am-2pm.
Here’s one in St Augustine at the St Augustine Amphitheater called the Old City Farmers Market. Address is 1340 A1A South St Augustine, Fl 32080 They are open every Saturday from 8:30am-12:30pm, so get there early.
I did save the best for last. The Jacksonville Farmers Market is open everyday of the year. So you can go when it’s convenient for you. Lots of produce and great prices. Beats the grocery store hands down and it’s local. Located at 1810 West Beaver Street Jacksonville, Fl 32209
Make sure you always check the websites for days and times, as they may change.
