If you’re looking for a neighborhood with big lots, mature trees and large homes, The Preserve @Eagle Harbor could be the one for you. Eagle Harbor is a master planned community in the Fleming Island area of Clay County Florida. The Preserve is one of many smaller neighborhoods within Eagle Harbor. There’s around 57 homes in The Preserve, with lot sizes usually around half an acre, but there are even bigger lots, including an acre and one over 2 and half acres!
With bigger lot sizes, we see bigger homes, ranging 2,700 square feet to a little over 6,000 square feet. Being part of Eagle Harbor, you can expect to enjoy beautiful amenities. The Preserve has its own pocket playground, but there is 3 pools, tennis, pickleball and park and dock for Eagle Harbor residents. There is a home owners association for Eagle Harbor and a Community Development District called the Crossings at Fleming Island CDD.
The zip code is 32003 and located in the County of Clay County. Just south of Jacksonville, with a short commute to NAS Jax, which is why many military folks call Fleming Island home.

You may rarely need to leave the Island of Fleming with as much shopping that is there. We have the bigger retail stores like Target, Walmart, Publix and Winn Dixie. Home Depot to work on your home improvement projects. You’ll never go hungry either. The Loop, Chillis, Tijuana Flats, Mellow Mushroom Pizza, Maple Street Biscuit, La Nap and so much more.
Fun Things To Do
Within Fleming Island you have two golf courses to enjoy. 2 public boat ramps are nearby. For you kayakers and paddleboaters, you have the 2 public boat ramps to launch at, and the Doctors Lake Park off of N Lakeshore and White Owl Rd to launch, With the last one there isn’t a boat ramp for the bigger boats.
Public parks in Fleming Island are Moccasin Slough Park, which features a playground and trails that are paved to walk on. Since they are paved, you can easily use a wheel chair to enjoy the outdoors there. Thunderbolt Park is right next to the Library where you will find a playground and easy access to the Black Creek Trail that runs up and down Highway 17.
