Parade of Trees in Green Cove Springs, Florida
This year marks the 9th annual Parade of Trees in Green Cove Springs at Spring Park. Our 2nd time seeing the trees. Last year we drove by, but this year we stopped and walked through them. I didn’t read up on every tree, but I read as many as I could.
There are many trees in honor of loved ones passed. Some honored the military folks gone and still here. I saw one tree in honor of a baby who had passed on from SIDS. There were some from local businesses, like a local bank, who had some advertisement of interest rates as ornaments. I checked for money, but I guess they forgot to hang that on the tree. ☺
It is a beautiful sight to see them all lit up, especially in Spring Park, which is a nice park anyway, that has a natural spring that goes into the St Johns River. A playground for the kids, a place to walk the four legged kids, picnic areas, and a gazebo. Great location to use as a backdrop for family photos, prom pictures and more.
The Parade of Trees lights remain on from December 1st, to January 4th, so go check it out!
