Fleming Island is another master planned community, similar to Eagle Harbor. Some of the differences of the two are that Fleming Island Plantation, has no homes on the main road through the community. That’s a pretty neat difference. There are also shopping plazas within the community, along with a YMCA, daycare, call centers and more. Really makes grabbing a bite to eat, really easy, either by car, bike or even on foot.
Currently there are two schools inside the Fleming Island community, Thunderbolt Elementary and Fleming Island High School. Plans for a Jr High right around the corner from the other two schools.
